GHOST IN THE HALL

Location Unknown

5 weeks ago I moved in to my new apartment. Everthing was going great until about 2 weeks ago I was disturbed late one night whilst I was asleep. I thought I had heard the sound of someone walking along the corridor outside my room and into the bathroom, shortly after which I heard a loud bang.

I got out of bed and walked into the corridor to have a look. I couldn't see anybody, so I checked the bathroom and again nobody was there. I went back to bed and thought no more of it.

However about 4 days ago I was awoken at about 1.30am by the same noise of footsteps and a bang that I had heard before. I checked again but nobody was outside my room. I went back to sleep, but was awoken again at 5.00am this time, I heard the footsteps stop outside my room for a few seconds before moving onto the bathroom again. Another loud bang on the wall followed. This time i was really scared and didn't dare look. I couldn't go back to sleep, but i didn't hear the footsteps again that night.

Over the next two nights the footsteps returned, 4 times the first night, and 7 times the second night. This had me really quite scared, so last night I went to stay with some friends. I'd left my digital camera at their house a few weeks ago and brought it home with me so I could save some of the pictures on my computer.

As I was walking up the stairs to my apartment this morning, and I heard a creaking noise coming from the floor boards above. Then a bang. I ran in to my apartment to have a look but again there was nobody there.

It was about 3.30pm when I was in the lounge downloading the images from the digital camera when I heard a creaking noise then the sound of footsteps slowly moving down the hallway. I jumped up camera in hand and ran to the lounge door to see what had caused the noise. When I reached the door, towards the end of the hall I thought I could see a shadow moving. It moved slowly to the end of the hall before stopping outside the bathroom. It then turned and walked straight into my bedroom. As it was moving I held up the camera and took a picture.

I waited for the banging noise but it did not come. Suddenly I heard the footsteps start coming from my room and moving out onto the hallway towards me. I turned and ran straight out of the apartment.

I went straight to my friends house to tell them about what had just happened. I told them what I had seen after a stiff drink and a cigerette. I then remembered that I had tried to use my camera. We loaded the picture onto their computer and couldn't believe my eyes. It looks as though their is a faint shadow of a figure moving down the corridor.

I'm not going to go back to the apartment for a while now, but wondered if you would like to take a look at the picture and give me some suggestion as to what you think it is and what I can do about it.
